Achilles Tendon
Injuries
For people recovering from an Achilles tendon strain or tear, part
of the treatment usually involves elevating the heel with a heel lift
and then slowly reducing the height of the lift (over time) as the
Achilles tendon heals. The reason for raising the heel in the first
place is to shorten the distance that the Achilles tendon needs to
stretch which allows it to heal faster. Once the Achilles tendon has
recovered it needs to be gradually returned to its fully extended
position to avoid re-injuring it. Adjust-A-Lift adjustable height
heel Lifts are ideal for this as they can be reduced in height 1/8
